Our projects and partner organizations
At Step Forward Together e.V., we partner with non-profit grassroots organizations in emerging economies to drive meaningful and sustainable change. Currently, our primary project partner is the Forward Step Organization (FSO).
Small grassroots organizations often face significant challenges, including limited resources and infrastructure, which hinder their ability to apply for large-scale funding, expand their reach, and maximize their impact. Our mission is to support these organizations during their critical growth phases.
Rather than focusing solely on continuous fundraising, we aim to nurture and empower these organizations, helping them build the infrastructure and capacity needed to operate independently and sustainably in the long term.
We provide different kinds of support:
General support
We support to apply for larger grants of big organizations, and engage to raise funds required for daily work and consumables.
Project support
For organizations with specific projects, we apply for project-related funds and engage to specifically support newly launched or ongoing projects.
Individual support
Some individuals may need urgent support, e.g. in cases of health emergency or education. We are in constant exchange with our partners to be aware of emergencies.
Independence
Disclaimer: We are a support organization from the Global North. While we provide financial support, engage in PR, outreach and communication to raise funds and awareness, we do not aim to instruct our partner organizations. The independence of our partner organizations is our highest priority. We check their statues and ongoing work, and have a continuous and transparent exchange. However, we do not intend to use funds to change contents or priorities of our partner organizations.
Forward Step Organization (FSO)
Forward Step Organization (FSO) is a Tanzanian, grassroots non-governmental organization. It was initiated in 2011 by Vincent Vinbro Ssekamatte & Faudhia Yusuf Zando. Based in Bagamoyo, Pwani, FSO strengthens Tanzanian families by addressing the big gaps which exist in the government social service quality and delivery. FSO empowers girls and young women using health, education, arts, and outreach programs. Apart from sensitization and advocacy work, the projects deliver direct support, violence prevention, networking, employment opportunities, digital literacy, environment preservation & food security among other things.
